1 | Employee | Access all employee records | This permission allows users access to all employees. |
2 | I-9 | Park Incomplete I-9s | This permission allows users to lock incomplete I-9s from future editing, e.g. when an employee is terminated and Section 2 remains incomplete. |
3 | Remediation | Create/Edit Archival Paper I-9s | This permission allows users to create and/or edit I-9s of type “Archival Paper”. Archival Paper I-9s are defined as I-9s completed outside of Guardian (i.e. on the paper form) for historical employees (i.e. employees hired prior to using the electronic system). The I-9s are transcribed to represent the form within the system. |
4 | Remediation | Exempt I-9 Issues | This permission allows users to exempt from further action items identified by the Guardian compliance checker (often related to historical employees). |
5 | Reporting | Access Basic Reports | This permission allows users to access the Reports module and view system-defined report types. |

12 | Support | Is an in-system I-9 support expert | This permission allows users to receive escalated communications related to specific I-9 records. Note: the feature related to this permission is an optional setting. |
13 | Support | Administer system | This permission allows users to access the Administration module and maintain the system including optional features, settings, and users. |
14 | Employee | Create employees | This permission allows users to create new employee records. |
15 | Employee | Work with employees outside managed groups | This permission allows to work with employees outside managed groups. |
16 | E-Verify | Manage E-Verify Cases | This permission allows users to process and close E-Verify cases. |
17 | I-9 | Approve I-9s | This permission allows users to approve I-9 records. I-9 approval locks the I-9 for editing, and when applicable, submits I-9 data to E-Verify. |
18 | I-9 | Create/Edit Electronic I-9s | This permission allows users to create and/or edit I-9s of type “Electronic”. Electronic I-9s are defined as I-9s completed within Guardian and electronically signed. |
