File Disposition

Files are submitted to Guardian’s file service, queued and processed (in the order received). Files are stored temporarily on the server to ensure processing and are then purged. We recommend that you maintain local access to your data feed files until you have reviewed and confirmed results. Detailed error messages available in-system within the data feed log files provide information specific to record failures. Utilize this information in concert with the original file to determine necessary remediation measures.

Sometimes errors may be compounded if the record update contained within a data feed file is dependent on an update in a different file type. As example, if a location file is sent to create a new location and that record fails. When a subsequent employee file includes the creation of a new employee to that location then that record will also fail.
