User Identifying Fields

  • ID.profileId
  • ID.firstName & ID.lastName & ID.emailAddress (three separate columns)

Either of the above options may be used. Determine which is applicable to your organization. The determining factor relates to the availability of each user’s employee ID within your originating system. Only include one of the two identifying options within a given data feed file. Note that the identifier (i.e. identifying column or columns) may differ between data feed files.

Input the applicable column header(s) to your user file when you intend to update existing records.

If the rows included in the file will result in all new records then it is not necessary to include the identifying column(s). If a mixture of records are included in your file when the identifying column(s) for a row is empty, then the system attempts to create a new user (with the values in the data columns for that row).
